  1. Register at the children’s librarian desk (sign name on mach voter’s registration)
  2. Receive a ballot
  3. Check a box for Barack Obama or John McCain
  4. Place the checked ballot in the ballot box.
  5. A person may only vote once!

91 KIDS IN JUST 3 DAYS HAVE ALREADY VOTED!!!!!!

~Your Librarian, Ms. Jeanne…

It’s election time for grown ups and I’m sure you feel left out of all the hooplah, but no worries, it’s never too early to learn about your right to vote.  Learning about voting and our government early is better and gets you prepared for your time to vote…which is truly not as far away as you think it is…

I know, you’re probably thinking, “I am a million years away from voting, I’ve got a bunch of time to think about it.”  Well, think of it this way:

Each year that passes, you’re 365 days closer to voting!

Each year that passes and you’ve learned nothing about voting, you’re 365 days less prepared!

Each year you spend time learning about voting, you’ll understand its value and how important it is for you to vote!

SO, LET’S VOTE on some of the awesome books we have in KidSpace about voting and the candidates for this Presidential Election:

Vote by Eileen Christelow

Barack Obama: son of promise, child of hope by Nikki Grimes

John McCain: profile of a leading Republican by Kira Wizner

If I ran for President by Catherine Stier

We have tons of more books on voting and presidents, so come pay us a visit at the West Palm Beach Public Library and remember, YOU CAN BE PRESIDENT IF YOU WANT TO!

Until we meet again…
