The West Palm Beach Public Library’s KidSpace presents The Adventures of Charles Pierce: The American Jungle, by Harvey Oyer.  Oyer is a local publisher, attorney, civic leader, and archaeologis!  He dives deep into the adventures of Charles Pierce, a young boy who has moved from Chicago to the wild, South Florida, to discover the American Jungle.  This book is great for children ages 9-12, especially boys.

This story is based on the real life experiences of Charlie W. Pierce, Oyer’s great-grand uncle.  The stories have been passed down through five generations.  How cool!!!!

Be sure to visit KidSpace on June 28th from 2-3 where you will get to hear and see the author, Harvey Oyer, read the Adventures of Charlie Pierce: The American Jungle.

Come out and enjoy the story, meet the author, and make a special craft to take home!!

Until we meet again,
