inauguration-1On January 20, 2009 our 44th President of the United States of America, Barack H. Obama, was sworn into office.  The week of this great event, so many of you visited KidSpace, at the West Palm Beach Public Library, to write a letter to your President.  Here are some of the questions we answered:

As President, what do you think President Obama should do first?

How do you feel about the war?inauguration-3

Do you think you will go to college?

Should President Obama help stop global warming?

A lot of you answered these questions carefully and placed them in our very own Presidential mail box.  It is never too late to write your letter to President Obama and learn more about him.  If you need help, come see us at KidSpace… don’t forget to check out these great reads.

Veterans Day is Nov. 11th; it is a day you thank and honor all those who served in the military.  Veterans are those who serve/served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard in times of war or peace.I already sent my appreciation cards to my Uncle V, my Aunt J, and my friend Bob who all served in the Air Force.

While I was doing my normal surfing for kids stuff, I landed on VA Kids, K-12th.  This awesome website is dedicated to educating you all about Veterans Day.  With cool games, activities, and facts, you learn all about why we celebrate Veterans Day. Part of the website even gives grown ups some good information and ideas for celebrating Veterans Day. If you would like some more information on Veterans Day, take a look at these:
